all walks of life together for an intensive and enlightening weekend.
All weekend long SMAF has regular 1.5 hour seminars as well as rotational
seminars, which feature several instructors dealing with a specific topic
or idea in turn, and breakout sessions, which allow you to get more in-depth
instruction with one of the expert instructors.

Joint Locking Seminar" - 3:00-5:00pm

In this seminar
Chris LaCava will be going over aspects of his "Power from the Center"
seminar using the Jung Ki Kwan curriculum. This will discuss and apply
joint locks on a larger, stronger opponent without the use of fakes or
strikes to set them up. Open to martial artists of any style.

"Martial/Medical
Applications of Pressure Points" - 5:30-7:00pm
|
|
With his
background as a Licensed Acupuncturist and an instructor at Tri-State
College of Acupuncture, Chris LaCava will discuss and demonstrate many
common pressure points (Acu-points) that are used in martial arts and
their healing properties. Participants will be assisted on finding the
location of the points discussed. We will also go over how to make those
points more effective in a combat situation. Also shown will be how to
calm the effects of pressure points after practice.
