About the School

Christopher LaCava has been training in the martial arts for over 20 years. At the present time he holds a third degree black belt in Hapkido and is a direct student of Grand Master Lim, Hyun-Soo. Mr. LaCava travels to Daegu, South Korea each year to train with Grand Master Lim and the other Korean Jung Ki Masters at the Jung Ki Kwan. He is also the Connecticut representitive of the Korea Jungki Hapkido and Kuhapdo Association .

Hapkido Certificates

Over the years Mr. LaCava has trained in the styles of Arnis, Yang Style Tai Chi Chuan, Shaolin Kempo and Chung Suk Kuhapdo. In the past, he was one of the few Licensed Tactical Master Instructors of the CDT method of non-deadly force here in Connecticut.

Mr. LaCava has enjoyed travelling over the years to teach seminars to many wonderful martial artists around the United States. He has also had the honor of teaching alongside many talented and world-renowned instructors at events such as, "Super Summer Seminars," "Renaissance Martial Arts Festivals" and " The New England Martial Arts Summer Camps."

Mr. LaCava is a graduate from Tri-State College of Acupuncture earning his Master's of Science Degree in Acupuncture. In addition, Mr. LaCava is NCCAOM certified, a licenced Acupuncturist and president of the Connecticut Society of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine.
